Mount Eerie to be a headliner on Saturday!
7 Jul
As those of you on our mailing list already know, we are very excited to announce one of two headliners for Saturday: Mount Eerie.
Mount Eerie is the brainchild of one Phil Elverum, who first found fame spearheading The Microphones in the late 90s through the early 00s, boasting five full-length releases on K Records. Since adopting the Mount Eerie moniker in 2003, he’s released a swath of highly collectible music/art releases including absurdly detailed photo books, vinyl records wrapped in giant posters and a journal of time spent in an isolated cabin in Norway.
For the Restoration Festival performance, Mount Eerie will be a 5 piece band performing music from their recent release, Clear Moon, which received a “Best New Music” nod from Pitchfork Media. Another Mount Eerie album is set to be released on September 4th, just in time for RestFest, titled Ocean Roar which is the companion album to its predecessor. Both albums were recorded at “The Unknown”, a desanctified church in Elverum’s hometown of Anacortes, WA, making Mount Eerie’s impending performance at St. Joe’s on September 8th all the more perfect.
